"Restriction": Alan Lord, a writer/musician/engineer who was briefly involved w/ Neoism in 1983 but continued to collaborate w/ Neoists long after that time, recently wrote & published his autobiography entitled "High Friends in Low Places" (MiroLand Publishers, 2022). In it, he references seeing a performance by Monty Cantsin (Istvan Kantor) for the 1st time & having that be his entry point into Neoism. From his description I recognized the performance as "Restriction" & I remembered that I have video from it in my aRCHIVE, probably thanks to Monty/Istvan giving it to me, so I decided to put it online so that I can link to it in my review of Alan's book.
The 2 synthesizer players shown making the live soundtrack are Kiki Bonbon (Jean-Luc Bonspiel) & Zbigniew Brotgehirn (Tristan Renaud). The performance took place at Véhicule Art, a gallery that Monty/Istvan was corunning at the time. This is probably the very same performance of this piece that Alan witnessed. I know that Monty performed this action at least 3 times. I witnessed it at APT 7 (1983), the 2nd apartment festival I organized in BalTimOre.
